SPORTS FACILITIES FOR CHENNAI

CP Sports is headquartered in Chennai, so a site visit here is usually the quickest to arrange. The city's appetite for small-sided sport is easy to see: five-a-side football and box cricket played late into the evening on floodlit turfs, many of them on compact plots squeezed between apartment blocks, office campuses and main roads.

That shapes what most Chennai projects look like — tight footprints that need careful planning of run-offs, netting and lighting so neighbours aren't disturbed, and multi-use layouts that let one surface earn its keep with football, cricket and pickleball at different times of the day.

BUILT FOR CHENNAI'S COAST

Chennai is hot and humid for most of the year and gets the bulk of its rain from the northeast monsoon, roughly October to December — often in short, intense spells and occasionally with cyclonic storms. Much of the city is flat and low-lying, so water has nowhere obvious to go.

Drainage First

We set slopes and size perimeter drains before choosing a surface, and check how the plot sits against the road and neighbouring land. A turf that drains well is playable soon after a downpour; one that ponds wears out early.

Corrosion-Resistant Steel

Near the coast, salt in the air attacks bare steel. We specify galvanised or powder-coated posts, net frames and floodlight poles, with corrosion-resistant fixings where it matters.

Heat & Humidity

UV-stabilised turf fibre and acrylic coatings hold their colour under strong sun, and LED floodlights let most of the play move to cooler evenings.

FAQ

QUESTIONS FROM CHENNAI

Do you charge for a site survey in Chennai?

No. Our team is based in Chennai and the on-site survey and consultation are free. We measure the plot, check levels and drainage, and talk through the facility you have in mind before any quote.

Can a turf be built on a small apartment or commercial plot?

Often, yes. Five-a-side turfs and box cricket arenas are designed for compact spaces. What decides it is the clear playing area, run-off space, netting height and how lighting will affect neighbours — all things we check on the survey.

How do you protect a Chennai turf from monsoon rain?

By grading the base and planning perimeter drainage around the site's actual levels. No outdoor surface stays dry when a whole area floods, but good drainage gets a turf playable again quickly after normal heavy rain and stops water sitting in the base.
